In Full Swing

Finally, summer has arrived! We tried out the new swing, which is a little big yet, but we enjoyed it nonetheless!



And he can sit on his own for a long while...with the help of the boppy!

Seven Months!

At 7 months old, Ethan:

• is officially rolling over! We were helping him along, pushing him over that last hurdle for a while, but he can go tummy to back and back to tummy.
• can almost sit up all by himself.
• loves solid foods. So far he has had, apples, bananas, peaches, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, rice, cereal and oatmeal.
• continues to sleep through the night (thank you, baby). While his wake up time could be a little later (he usually wakes around 6 am), we will take what we can get.
• has 2 teeth.
• is growing more and more hair.
• continues to explore his voice, making all sorts of noises. He is also getting quite good at giving us laughs!!
• weighs 17 lbs 6 oz and is 26.5 inches long.
  

A Baby Blessing

Every person born into this world represents something new, something original and something unique. On June 8, Ethan was baptized in the presence of many family and friends. We are honored that Christie and Steve stood by us and have accepted the role as his godparents. They will do a fine job as they give him many reasons to smile and will work hard to make sure he is provided with all the extra love and guidance that a little man needs.

We are happy that Assumption continues to weave the threads of the Ruiz family. One wedding and and one baptism nearly five years later. It was also good to have the warmth of extended family and friends around us today. We are thankful for so much.

We are blessed to have Ethan in our life. Everyday he adds so much to our family.
