Ethan Goes Five for Five

Ethan is five months old – here’s a list of his five favorite things:

5. His rides in the car with his blanket. He loves to look out, talk to himself and stick his blanket in his mouth.
4. Patty Cake. If Ethan ever gets a little cranky, we simply break into song (and hand dance) and he immediately brightens up.
3. SpongeBob Square Pants -- He is starting to know the opening song and while his attention span is a short one, this little yellow guys is definitely his fave.
2. Seeing our faces when he wakes up. Seems a little vain, but it’s true and it’s awesome. His face lights up when he catches a glimpse of us leaning over the crib.

His number one favorite thing...being lifted in the air and brought down for a kiss. It makes him smile and almost squeal with happiness every time.

The Bumbo

Ethan has fallen in love with the bumbo chair. He loves to sit up, look around and stuff his hands, bib or as of yesterday, plastic keys in his mouth!

Open Up and Say...

...Ahhh! We've started solids, what a big day. But, of course, we were more excited that Ethan and he just kept looking at us like "what are you doing to me?"

Where Has Our Baby Gone?

It is hard to remember back to when Ethan was a new-newborn. Back to when he couldn't hold his head up, didn't sleep or laugh and would scream at the sight of the bathtub!

In other Ethan news, he had his 4 month appt this past Monday and is healthy as can be. Weighing in at 15 pounds and measuring at 26 1/2 inches long, he is clearly eating and growing just fine.

Remember Her?

It's Pawsie! I know we've been all about Ethan, but I wanted to give Layla some love. She is great with Ethan, but misses the days when all the attention was hers. Good news is, Ethan will never be afraid of dogs as his face, mouth and hands recieve puppy kisses daily.

His Fathers Son

At only 4 months, Ethan is already an animal lover. For Christmas, my Mom got us a membership to the MN Zoo, which is so nice as we can buzz over and stay for just an hour or two. This past Sunday it was sunny and 45, so we decided to make the best of it (we got 7 inches of snow again yesterday) and head to see the animals! Ethan was mostly into things he could see up close; the turtles swimming & the beaver dam.

The Real Four Month!

Ethan is feeling a little better today, although as Mike put it this afternoon "He is officially the boy with snot running down his nose!" Poor thing!
